Case Overview

Michelle Fisher Young and her husband Jason were a young couple living in Raleigh, NC when she was brutally murdered in her home. She had a 2 year old daughter named Cassidy. She was pregnant with her second child at the time of death. Investigators said there were no signs of forced entry into their home located in the Enchanted Oaks subdivision. The autopsy revealed she died from blunt force trauma. Her sister, Meredith, found her in the master bedroom of her house on Friday afternoon, Nov 3, 2006. Cassidy and their dog, Mr. G, were found unharmed. Authorities said the slaying does not appear to be a random act of violence.

The previous night Michelle had a friend over to watch Grey's Anatomy and they visited until about 10:30 p.m. Her husband, Jason, left town that day/evening to get a head start for a business meeting in Virginia on Friday. He was on his way to his parents' home in Brevard when his sister-in-law found her body Friday afternoon. Authorities have put her time of death between midnight and 6am on November 3, 2006. Michelle was 29 years old.
