The Document

On the Court TV Message Boards about Michelle Young's murder several friends and so called "insiders" reported information they knew themselves or heard through other friends. Since this information can't be verified it is up to the reader to decide what may or may not be true.

The Document: It has never been released to the public exactly what the document Meredith Fisher was retrieving for Jason Young when she found her sister's body. Several posters on the CTV Boards have said it was about a gift Jason was buying for Michelle and he wanted Meredith's opinion about it. Below are some of the posts related to the gift (purse).

Posted by just the facts: "There was no fax. None, zero, zilch. I don't know how much clearer to break it down. That's a media mistake which they continue to perpetuate. There was a print out that contained information on a purse Jason was interested in buying for Michelle. It was not bought yet. It was just the information he'd had printed out. He wanted input from her sister and friends before making the purchase. It was their 3rd anniversary and the 3rd year is leather. It was not unusual for he or Michelle to ask Meredith to do an errand for them... I do not know when he specifically asked Meredith to go look at the print out. I know that he wanted her opinion as well as the opinion of some of Michelle's female friends on the purse as he wanted to make sure he chose the right one and one she'd really like. Remember, Michelle had a doctors appointment scheduled that morning and then should have been gone to work. I do not know the exact time the print out was sent to the house, but think it is quite possible that it was done that morning when Michelle should have been gone from the home; and then probably Meredith was called to see if she could stop by and pick it up before Michelle would be home from work. That would have given her quite a few hours leeway in when she stopped by the house. I sincerely doubt she was called and told to drop everything and go pick up the print out. I would assume she came by the house that day when it was convenient to her schedule.

Posted by ECUgirl: "yes, i know her. no, she wasn't at work when he called. yes, there was really a fax. yes, it was for a gift of some sort for Michelle. yes, she was at their house alot & yes, like a nanny to her niece. yes, he has stayed at inlaw's house since murder. yes, he was out of town when the body was "found."

Posted by ConcernedCitize: There was no fax. There was a print out sent to the home. The print out involved information about a purse. It was the couples 3rd anniversary. The third year is leather. Michelle wanted a nice purse. Jason wanted input from her sister and friends as to the selection and hence why her sister was sent to pick up the print out.* I have heard the same thing. (This was posted by CC but was written by someone else, she was agreeing to it by adding her *.) Hmmm kinda sounds like JTF...

Posted by Sorsista: I heard the purse/fax/SIL pick it up story very early on from a friend on my street, like the first week...

Posted by dkjack: Well, if you don't mind, I'm not sure where we're trying to get. I think we've discussed this subject several times over the last five months. But we do tend to forget things.

First, I think "document" may be a better word than "fax", although fax is easier to type and say. I think it was not a fax but perhaps a picture and description of the Coach purse. This was probably something Jason found on a web site and printed.

I believe (which means this is SECOND HAND) that Jason was interrupted in his computer work about 8 pm as the ladies brought Cassie upstairs for bed. He flipped over the information about the purse (which may have been meant as a late anniversary gift--leather--or as a Christmas present) and left it on the printer.

After a goodnight and goodbye session, Jason left to get an early start on his Friday trip. He did not remember to remove the information about the purse. This was the infamous document Meredith was to pick up for him so as not to spoil the surprise for Michelle. Does this seem like such a horrible husband and father?

Let me emphasize again none of this information is directly from Jason but what I have been told by another who talked with Jason about it. Please feel free to dismiss this information. I believe also this is the information the police officers have.

Several posters have used the term "fax" with regards to the document. The Search Warrant simply says a "computer print out" that was on the printer next to the computer.

At some point the purse became a Coach purse. I have not been able to find an original post with this information. On the boards it is pretty much considered a fact.
